A 40-Day Faith Challenge
Jesus tells us in Matthew 17:20, that faith the size of a tiny mustard seed is powerful. So, let's plant those seeds and reap the harvest.
The Seed: God's Word
Cleansing Rain: A Reflection on God's Word
Sometimes people read Jeremiah 29:11 to mean that good is always just around the corner for Christians. Sadly, when that doesn’t happen, we lose faith in the One who makes this promise. However, this verse is bigger than the here and now.
God will not always take away our trials, but He offers us peace as we persevere through the rough waters. God will never bring evil upon us, but nevertheless, evil does surround us in this world. God, on the other hand, offers us a future and a hope. We find that in our faith in the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ. It is by Jesus’ sacrifice we receive forgiveness resulting in a hope and a future in heaven. And this faith gives us the strength to move mountains, endure hardships, overcome wickedness against us, and love one another.
This is the ultimate verse in trust. To know God has a plan for us and to trust in it wholeheartedly because we know He is with us in the midst of it.
